Since Tenneson Engineering is a small to mid-size engineering/surveying firm, we specialize in providing infrastructure design services for small communities east of the Cascades. This specialization permits us to gain a working knowledge of the design philosophies and economic realities, allowing completion of projects that get the job done simply and efficiently.
Our firm’s specialty is civil engineering, including roadways and water and wastewater systems typical of the region. These facilities include sewage lagoons and wastewater treatment plants, along with all water system components, such as source development, treatment, storage, transmission, and distribution. Tenneson Engineering can also complete all necessary permitting applications and environmental reporting involved with these types of projects.
Along with the civil design, Tenneson Engineering also provides structural engineering. The structural engineering includes a wide variety of construction methods and materials. Design services could range from simple retaining walls to bridges, including the abutment and structure, along with any other appurtenant structures.
Our land surveying services range from simple corner recoveries to large scale topographic surveys and complex boundary resolutions. Each year our firm completes numerous boundary surveys, property line adjustment surveys, short plats, partition plats, and subdivisions. These survey projects range from rural sectional subdivisions for timber harvest and fence lines to urban lot surveys and commercial level ALTA surveys. Many of our projects also involve preparation of legal descriptions for land and easement boundaries and preparation of exhibit maps for these projects. Our survey staff is very familiar with local city and county planning processes and frequently helps our clients through the application and planning review process as related to short plat, boundary line adjustment, and subdivision projects. We are well versed in state level survey law and platting requirements.
Tenneson Engineering Corporation also provides in-house inspections including nuclear density testing, special inspection of concrete and welding, and on-site resident construction inspection.
Once a project has begun, Tenneson Engineering can provide the necessary oversight and expertise to see the project through to the finish. This involves observing construction conformance to designed plans, making any revisions needed due to unforeseen circumstances in the field, reviewing all pay requests from the contractor and making recommendations regarding payment and retainage, along with reviewing all prevailing wage rates, mechanic liens, and product submittals.
With our wide range of skills, we can begin your project as a concept and lead it through the planning process without ever leaving the Mid-Columbia Gorge area.
