On March 8, 2020, Gov. Kate Brown declared a state of emergency to address the spread of COVID-19 in Oregon. The Oregon Health Authority (OHA) serves as the lead agency for the public health response. The Office of Emergency Management (OEM) coordinates and supports state and local recovery efforts through the Emergency Coordination Center (ECC).

After much careful consideration, we have decided to close Tenneson’s physical office and have the majority of staff work remotely through Tuesday, March 31 at a minimum. Technology to facilitate client interactions is available. We did not come to this decision lightly, however, we are convinced that closing our physical office is necessary to protect the health of our clients, our staff, and our community, and to enable us to continue serving our clients and communities in the short and long term.
What does this mean as a practical matter?
- TEC’s phone lines will remain open. You can continue to reach us at (541) 296-9177.
- Ben Beseda – Ext 203 (bbeseda@tennesoneng.com)
- Darrin Eckman – Ext 204 (deckman@tennesoneng.com)
- Kelly McCargar – Ext 212 (kmccargar@tennesoneng.com)
- Larry Toll – Ext 222 (ltoll@tennesoneng.com)
- TEC will continue to provide quotes for new projects.
- TEC will continue to provide customer service but will do so primarily via phone, email, and videoconference.
- TEC will continue progress on existing projects, however, please recognize the inherent inefficiency of working remotely and that most of the regulatory agencies that we interact with have restrictions as well, such as limited hours, remote workplace, and their schedules are subject to change at any time. It is likely that project timelines will be affected by these restrictions that are outside of our control.
- To the extent that TEC has any in-person interactions with clients and/or members of the public during this pandemic, we will follow the CDC’s guidelines regarding social distancing which, at this time means that we will remain at least 6 feet away from others and will discontinue any interaction in which the other person does not follow the CDC’s guidelines.
We ask for your patience, compassion, and support—and extend our own—during this unprecedented time. As we have said to our staff and repeated here, in this moment of great uncertainty, we find ourselves giving thanks multiple times per day for the things we can count on—family, friends, and the TEC community.
Thank you for your consideration, understanding, and patience,
Ben and Darrin
